Retha's house where the murder happened...
My good friend Retha Simpson lost her life last week her husband murdered her because he thought she was having an affair and then he proceded to dismember her body burning part of it and disposed of her in a wooded area in plastic bags like
she was disposable trash.. I hope you rot in hell Scott Simpson ( Greensboro NC).
Retha I will never forget you as long as I live goodbye for now until we meet again
in Heaven I love you so much...

I read about this on FB and was totally in shock!!! What an absolutely horrific thing to happen to another human being let alone by someone that supposedly loved them. I hope justice is served and he gets his in the end!!! God will place judgement on him and he will be put where he deserves to be. RIP Retha...you are loved by many.

Unbelievable...Retha was my roommate for a few years... I was with them on their first date, at their wedding, and spent every thanksgiving and christmas with them....She was a great friend, and no amount of "justice" will make it fair...We will miss her a lot, we love you Retha!!! fom phil

I have known Retha for a few years via phone and her old website Cinnamon Creek Primitives. We would talk for hours at least twice a month. We talked like we've known each other forever, that is just how Retha was. She treated you like you were her best friend from the very beginning. May God Bless and comfort her close friends and family. As for Scott, evil begets evil, he will get what he deserves.

I didn't know Retha other than on the boards, but feel sick knowing what she went thru and how scared she must have been.

Diane, it just occured to me...Retha and I lived 30 minutes apart, but it was YOU that brought her into my life. Thank you so much for that. We know what a special person she was and we will never forget! I feel blessed that I had a chance to know her. She brought something to my life that is hard to explain and that you find often.....
So sad I will never hear What cha doing, who ya doing it with and how long ya been doing it? She would call and sometimes wouldn't even say Hello. (Just go into that rambling.) She was the only one who ever called me Sha-ri Bar-ry! I can almost hear her now....

diane, i seen the post on facebook. it makes me sick to think that someone could do that to another person. even though i never met retha in person, i had talked to her quite a bit on the computer.

Oh My Gosh! Is this the Retha from the blog A window to the past????? I hadn't heard about this at all. I'm in total shock! I'm so very very sorry. Hugs for you! Tight, tight hugs! I'm just stunned, and ...and...and...I just can't believe it's real.

I talked to Retha 3 days before this happened and the stories in the news aren't true. I'm so shocked and heart broken Retha and I have been friends only for a short time but she was a phenomenal person and her laugh was just great!! I hope the police figure out the truth...
We have known Retha for countless years. We have been there for each other in so many ways. From being coworkers to roommates and beyond. We wish we could have seen this coming. This has been one the biggest shocks of our lives. It is like a part of us has been torn away.

Diane, I am sorry for the loss of your friend, Retha. i remember her from PrimMart and we shared some private messages on there..she was a nice person.She is an angel now and is in the arms of Jesus. I just found out about this yesterday when talking to Tori for the first time in almost a year. Im still in shock! My heart is so heavy for her.I never knew her personally but Tori spoke of her so fondly and I orderd a few things from her website.
Though I didn't know her personally this sure feels like it hits close to home.
