Boy I can't believe its been over 2 weeks since I last blogged time sure can get away with you.. I'm currently planning a long over due family reunion for my mothers
side of the family and this is a 1st for me.. If anyone has any tips or ideas please let me know... seems no one else in the family was interested in putting together a family reunion seeing as how we haven't had one in about 12 years, so I decided it was long over due huh? I've done search after search for family reunion ideas on the net but I'm just not finding much short of all the many programs they want you to buy. Anyways help me if you can.. and I have added another free halloween label to the orange widget box to the left... Have a great weekend everyone....

I am not seeing any orange widget box for the Halloween label. Can you help?
My husband's family is really good about having reunions every year. They are quite organized with it. Every year a different branch of the family is responsible for organizing the event. They pick that year's theme which is then used for the centerpieces etc. One of the highlights of the day is the raffle. Each family is asked to donate an item for the raffle. Most end up bringing more than one, because it is so much fun. Then they sell tickets for the raffle, the kind on a roll with individual numbers. When they draw a ticket with your number, you get to pick one item that is still left on the raffle table. The proceeds from the raffle are used for the next year's reunion to pay for rental on the building, paper goods, postage, and the main dish. Everyone brings the side dishes.
